Kimberly J. Gehr
Kimberly J. Gehr, "Kj", is a Southern Oregon native.
Kj has been advocating for clients since 2017 as a licensed attorney. However, her legal journey actually began during law school in 2014 when she worked as a court certified law clerk with a busy law firm based in Albany, Oregon for over 1.5 years managing her own caseload while attending full-time graduate school. She had the rare and valuable opportunity to gain real-world case management and trial court skills before becoming an attorney while having to manage the time constraints of school. This gave her excellent preparation for what a career as an attorney in a busy practice area would look like.
Kj has experience advocating at the circuit court level as well as in the Administrative Court. She practices primarily in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties and has experience in Curry/Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Marion, Benton, and Crook counties, as well.
As an effective trial court advocate, Kj recognizes the importance and value of relationship building with opposing counsel, judicial staff, court staff and judges. Kj's 12-years in the private sector prior to obtaining her Juris Doctorate (JD) and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, imparted crucial skills in communication, negotiation, and critical thinking.
Kj was raised by a land developer/builder father and a conservationist mother. The dinner table conversations when growing up could get intense at times but they always ended amicably. Kj learned that common ground can be found between points of view that initially seem irreconcilable if parties are engaging with each other with respect and an eye towards solving the issue at hand.
Kj and her husband Charles are outdoor enthusiasts who love to sail, fly fish, raft, camp, and advocate for natural spaces and places in their spare time.

"I have a lot of faith and trust in Kj's judgement, and she has seen me at my absolute worst, yet managed to remain kind and give good counsel. I can't imagine working with anyone else."
